Drawn recipe: Easy Frittata!

This drawn recipe was taken from the french magazine Ricardo. You may know Ricardo from his show from Canada’s food network. He’s a well-known chief in Québec as he worked on TV for years, here.

This friday, I didn’t have much in the fridge and was craving for something healthy, hot and fast to make. So I made this recipe!

  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp Tabasco sauce (or at your taste)
  • 4 green onions, sliced thinly & separate green from white.
  • 1 clove, cut
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 to 1 box of black turtle beans
  • 1/2 cup of chicken broth
  • Juice of half a lime or at taste
  • 1 tomato, cut in small pieces.
  • 1 cup of gratted mozzarella cheese
  • salt & pepper

1- Preheat oven at 180 (350)
2- Butter a round 9″ baking pan.
3- In one small bowl, mix tabasco and eggs untill you have a smooth mixture. Add salt & pepper to taste.
4- Transfer mixture in the baking pan and insert in oven. Cook for about 10 minutes.
5- While waiting for your mixture to cook, tenderize onion white, clove and pepper in a large pan with oil.
6- Add in black turtle beans & chicken broth. Bring to boil and reduce until almost dry. Add lime juice and adjust seasonings.
7- Take the omelette out of oven when it’s edge is cooked.
8- Add the sliced tomato, green onions & cheese on top of the omelette. Cook in oven for another 10 minutes. End the cooking under broil, until the Frittata is golden.

Add in sour cream, next to your dish, to taste. Yum!
